I am a shop-a-holic. I know I am. This is good information. Maybe, just maybe it’ll help my issue (well at least this 1 issue).
How can we become more vigilant?
There are two types of consumers. The high-involvement consumer makes lists of what they want each time they visit the store. For them, penciling in the exact number of what they want to buy can keep them from purchasing more. There are also the impulse shopper who buy what he wants when he wants it. He should try to remember that every time he sees a number in a store sign, he’s likely to buy at least one more item than intended.

Just stumbled upon this – and so glad I did! We own a Canon camcorder that we bought back in the early days of my daughter. Bad news, it doesn’t work – good news? it’s on this list for possible free repair.
My camcorder’s screen is distorted, you can barely makeout anything. Here is what the free repair is for: Both Canon and Sony used the same vendor for their CCD image sensors from the same vendor, which are defective and result in a distorted or black screen
It appears that the Free Repair is for Sony and Canon camcorders. The issue is the CCD Image Sensor Advisory.
