Every year, January 1st approaches and what do we ALL do? Vow to do this and to do that, on the good ol’ New Years’ resolution list.
I never do it, until this year, I caved. There are several things I need to do – most importantly for myself. So here’s my stab at the New Year’s list…
- Prioritize my family
- Stick to an exercise routine
- Let God drive my life (and don’t be a backseat driver)
- Enjoy being 30 (OMG, did I just type that – i’ve been in denial for the last few months!)
- Blog!
Priotizing My Family
I have the cutest kids imaginable (yeah, I know, we all do – but no seriously mine somehow ended up extra cute. I have a husband who is 1 of a kind (see previous sentence). I need to enjoy them.
Family night every Thursday is a must, no skipping because work was exhausting.
Stick to an Exercise Routine
Usually I would huff and puff and not even write this, knowing I would fail miserably – but this year – I’ve found out how to exercise.
How? Santa brought me a treadmill for Christmas – with a Surf Shelf.

This seriously is the greatest thing ever. I put the treadmill on 1.5 and walk and surf. Yep, it is as easy as that. My laptop straps around the shelf so it won’t fall.
Let God Drive My Life
I say that I let God drive my life, but I am such the back seat driver. Plus, I love short cuts – but they never work out.
This year, God – it’s all yours, show me the way!
Enjoy being 30
So many people dread this age, but I see it as a new beginning. The 20’s were about finding myself. Learning and starting a family.
What do I have planned for my 30’s? Well I do know something that will not change… My free spirit. I am not a planner and if you read my ABOVE resolution – i’m giving it all to the big man.
Blog!
I love blogging. I need to do what I love – plus, this is a great document of my life. Someday, my kids will be able to read back on my blogs and think – WOW, thats why I am messed up! Stay tuned – more ahead for this year at Bargain Mama. I promise to pass along any great bargains I find, straight to you (so subscribe!)
Here’s to a Divine 2009! Happy New Year to each of you.
