Mommy’s Bag of Trix

Trix

This little idea has saved me so much time. In the morning, we are running. I can grab these and go. These can serve as a quick snack (husband LOVES these), or something the kids can grab while I sleep in on Saturdays. ha.

Oh BTW, I found 8 bags of pre-packaged cereal for $2.99. I can get at least 20 bags out of a regular size box of trix (with bags), costing me about $4.00 retail (with coupon/sale I pay around $2.25). BARGAIN.

What trix do you have up your sleeves?

Happy Bargain Shopping!

Recycle and Get Rewarded? Sounds Good To Us!

This is a fab idea in it’s infancy stages -> recycle and get rewarded for it! If you are already a tried-and-true recycler, this will be a great bargain – you’ll be rewarded for doing nothing. If you don’t recycle, maybe this will help you start.

Okay, first I have to a confession. I am not that green. I love the idea of recycling, but truth be told, I slack at it. But, I believe it’s because I’m stubborn and require incentive, so when I read about this – I thought – how STINKING cool. This sounds like a deal/bargain/steal or whatver you want to call it – total win, win situation. The Earth is a winner and so am I.

Here’s the deal:

RecycleBank

You recycle into the normal recycle carts

The carts have an identification tag that is recorded by the recycling truck.

The amount recycled is converted into RecycleBank Points, which you can use to order rewards.
